Summary: 2002 Abyss Challenge. We know it is Daniel who will be Jack in the room. Okay. My challenge - how would it be different with Sam there? Would it be Sam's memories that would help Jack through the capture? Do a short story with this twist... Speculate on how Sam could be Jack's anchor through all this. Or what do you think Sam is doing since we are told the SGC knows about the capture but can't do anything. How about a short story on what Sam is going through.

Summary: 2002 Alpha Site Challenge. Scenario: At the end of a routine mission, SG is unable to dial back to earth. After redirecting to the Alpha Site, they find out that the earth was attacked by Annubis. Those at the Alpha site are all that remain. 1000 all told, about two- thirds male. Sam is informed that as one of the few women left, it is her duty to start having children to continue on our civilization. She is no longer allowed to go on mission, though she will still serve in the military hierarchy. ok, that's the basis, where you go from there is up to you: a light happy fic; angsty stuff with Jack not wanting/being unable to have more children; Sam being forced to have kids by more than one man.... or maybe and attack on the Alpha Site too.

Summary: 2003 Argument Challenge. Someone write a Fic where Jack and Sam have an argument. Sam's feeling a little down in the dumps. So Jack (either by himself or the boys of SG-1) decide to do something about it. Now they can either do it in her lab, outside her bedroom window (some one complains if they do and Sam shouts at them) or in the gate room. Wherever as long as they sing, 'My Girl' by Temtations. Has to be FUNNY.

Summary: 2000 AU Chevron Challenge. Sam has been trying to get the Stargate to accept the 8th chevron. During one experiment, after accepting the 7th chevron the Stargate ring moves. It doesn't lock in the 8th chevron, but a wormhole is established somehow. SGC sends a MALP in to investigate. The MALP emerges on a planet where there are x number of Stargates (x = 2, 3, 4, .... whatever you choose). SG is sent to investigate. Either all or a portion of the team enter the Stargate. Once there, they see the other Stargates activate and out step AU SG team(s). The AU Sam's have been trying the same thing. Suddenly, one of the aliens from the other galaxy appears and says they brought all the Sam and Jack's there to warn them not to continue trying to engage the 8th chevron - mankind isn't ready to join them. The aliens then activate all the Stargates and everyone goes back to their reality. (It would be interesting to see how many S&J's are together. Any married? Any with kids?)

Summary: 2000 AU Gate Colour Challenge. SG are exploring a new world. It's got lots of trees, no natives, no indication of Goa'uld. But it does have a second Stargate, which is some distance away from the one SG used. It looks like a normal Stargate, but when they input a destination in the DHD, the resulting event horizon isn't blue, it's another color. Daniel and Teal'c stay, while Sam and Jack step through the other Stargate. When they step through, they find themselves in the SGC. But it's an AU SGC. Finally, an opportunity for Jack to talk with an AU Jack face to face. Can you imagine listening in on a meeting with 2 Jack's and 2 Sam's around the conference table? I can see each Jack trying to out do the other. All the stories I've read have had AU people visiting our SGC. This turns the tables.

Summary: 2001 AU Loophole Challenge. SG in its entirety end up in an an alternate reality, with all the regular characters still alive so Entropic Cascade Failure starts and things are generally not good. For some reason, they can't get back to their own reality for a while, and Sam and Jack get to talking about their feelings for one another. Then someone, eg Daniel or this universe's Kawalsky, have a brilliant idea for a loophole in the regs that will allow them to be together. You can make up your own, or it can be this one: The President has the power to overrule regulations. As this Sam and Jack are not going to be in his reality for very long, it's no skin off his back if he writes them a paper authorising an over- looking of the non- frat regulations (I'm assuming the President has a sense of homour). When they get back to their own reality, they therefore have proof that they're allowed to be together, as the man who signed the paper is technically the same person. It doesn't matter whether Sam is military in the other universe, though a Sam/Jack romance and/or marriage wouldn't go amiss. Oh, and one more thing. Jack has to make a comment about trees.
