Summary: 2002 Sentinel Challenge. Sentinel...sam on one side of a force field...jack on the other....jaffa ready to fry him extra crispy...sound familiar? like the exact opposite of upgrades. so....what exactly was running through their minds? there was some great non- verbal communication going on there...and if I can see it...i know you can so the challenge is simple.. what is running through their minds in those couple of minutes? gee i'll never see him/her again she/he'll die and it'll be all my fault i'm gonna have to watch him/her die

Summary: 2003 Shades Of Trouble Challenge. What if something went wrong (e.g. they are attacked and abducted or something like that) on that mission in Shades of Grey where Makepeace was in command of SG1 and Jack had to sit in the bushes and watch it happen while not being able to do something about it?

Summary: 2001 Shared Dreaming Challenge. Has anyone out there either experienced or is familiar with 'lucid dreaming'? It is a very special state of dreaming where you literally 'wake up' in the dream. You become totally conscious of the dream environment to the same extent that you are in the waking world. Everything has the same quality of being 'real'. The main difference, however, is that you have a certain degree of control as to what happens, where you are, who you meet, etc. I've been fortunate enough to have had some wonderful experiences with it, from flying to meeting famous people, to traveling to exotic places. I have read of some individuals who are so skilled that they can program their dreams each night. In one case I read about a woman who spent a romantic and passionate 'dream- day- and- night' with her favorite actor, and in a another, how a man serving a life sentence lives the life he would in the outside world, each night while he sleeps. Now, there is something additional that I have to mention. There are also lesser known practices called 'dreaming together' where the consciousness of more than one indivudial share a dream. If you want more info you can e- mail me directly, but I wanted to keep this as brief as possible for now. By now you know where I'm going with this. Let's say that SG interacts with a race that introduces this technique, perhaps gives them the ability to use it very proficiently. Now, anytime S&J are asleep at the same time, they can explore their relationship in any way possible. The questions are, how would they feel about this 'loophole' in the regs? Would either of them feel it would threaten their professionalism-- jepardize their ability to funtion together in life threatening situations?

Summary: 2002 Ship In A Ship Challenge. In redemption s&j test the x302...they try for a hyperspace window, it doesn't work. they get back jack makes his quip about being torn asunder...mckay says 'it's more likley you could have been sent who knows how far away with limited supplies' (or something close to that) so everyone who wanted ship in a ship what if they were sent across the galaxy, where would they go? they'd have to find a planet and live...would it have a gate? would they be trapped? would the tok'ra find them? Asgard? would they WANT to be found????

Summary: 2000 Shot Challenge. Write a story, please make it longer than a drabble, I like a little meat when I read, where Sam is shot, not while on duty, but while doing something ordinary, wrong place at the wrong time scenario, say she walks into the store or the bank and interrupts a robbery in progress, or is the victim of a random drive by, I know they have those in the Springs, or even more random yet maybe the neighbors in her apartment are having a domestic disput and the bullet comes through the wall, something interesting, and what is Jack's reaction to hearing the news? They can be in an established relationship or even just friends. I'm just in the mood for some good juicy angst here, gotta have the comfort to go along with all this.

Daniel- "Jack, she really bonded with that little girl. I mean, she was willing to risk her life to stay with her. Now she's just going to give her up." Jack- "Carter's military, Daniel." Daniel- "Don't you start on that 'military detachment' bull. You didn't see her, Jack. You didn't see her in tears when she discovered the bomb. You didn't see her sit with that little girl, and refuse help. She's only human. And you * know * she has a heart. A damn big one."
