I really enjoy reading your work. You have a very nice style and manage to keep things interesting. You built up to some lovely moments, but then Carter or O'Niell would start yelling and run away. It was very confusing, as was the ending. If she was worried about Jack hearing her protestation of love - she could have a wriggled out of that a hundred different ways. Besides that however, I did enjoy it and hope to read more of your work in the future. Hope that you are still writing.
