This is really, really well written. It's different from most fics which is why I like it so much. It accurately depicts what must go on in the mind of a soldier like Sam Carter, risking her life, seeing the evil of the universe and not just the world, an most importantly, dealing with the fact that she's in love with someone she stands with side by side in war. It's brilliant.
