Oh the hazards of becoming a brigadier general! I'm so glad that someone tackled the issue - although I can't believe that Carter wouldn't have missed Jack a little more - even if she was going out with someone else. Even with the paperwork, I can't imagine him staying away from Carter's lab --- his feet just naturally turn in that direction. But what an incredible loss to not even feel welcome. So, again thanks for the story. You made a sad but interesting story into an interesting and hopeful one.
