I quite enjoyed this story. It's among the better "end of the world" types. However, even though I know it was supposed to focus on Jack and Sam, there were way too many unanswered questions by the end of the story.

I would have liked to know why Hailey betrayed everyone. I would also like to have found out what happened with Cassie and her baby. And perhaps biggest of all - who the heck attacked the original base and killed everyone there? These are things that should have been answered instead of leaving readers to wonder. And I'm sure there are other unanswered questions as well.

Having said all that, though, ... good job!
