Jack watched as they filed out of the room, Sam bringing up the rear. Reaching out, he touched her shoulder, stopping her progress.
"Stay..."
Sam turned, but was unable to make eye contact. After a moment of uncomfortable silence, Jack eased the tension.
"That was weird."
"You can say that again."
"That was weird."
Sam smiled. "Glad you're back, Sir."
Jack nodded. "What's the chance that reality becoming... our reality."
"I don't know, Sir. It would all depend..."
"On what?"
"If that's the path we choose to take."
